Meeting with the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province

rtvm.gov.ph King Abdul Aziz Airbase, Dhahran, KSA September 20, 2009 President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo met with Prince Jalawi Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Mosaad Al-Saud, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province after her arrival in King Abdul Aziz Airbase in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Prince Jalawi thanked the President for the professionalism and dedication of our filipino workers in the region, while President Arroyo thanked the Government of Eastern Province through the leadership of Prince Mohammad by establishing a Reconciliation Committee composed of outstanding religious men to help persuade the families of murder victims in the Eastern Region to forgive their perpetrators. The President also reiterated her appreciation to the amnesty granted by King Abdullah to 700 jailed ofws during her visit to the Kingdom last May 2006.
